Some children and young people are happy filling in survey questionnaires as long they are not too long and the style is appropriate. However using innovative methods, such as creative arts, supporting empowerment with skills and information, as well as linking with elements of Citizenship in the National Curriculum, make it a more meaningful experience for them, offers a range of ways of communicating and responding, and makes engagement sustainable.
